Yeah I've had the same experience with shinylive. In fact, we've been starting to make dashboards totally outside of R because the UI and speed are just so much better for interactive stuff.
I assume it has some Javascript as well? In any case, very cool that CC did that for you!
What are you using to make the filters in the sidebar?
Case in point: Currently building this in Laravel (a PHP framework I'm only sort of familiar with).
Checking whether your PDFs are accessible is important, but the tools to do so aren't great. That's why @joseph-barbier.bsky.social and I built a new R package: {pdfcheck}. Check it out and let us know what you think!

For grouped summaries in #rstats, do you use group_by() + summarize() or the .by argument in summarize()?
If you can't, it's a huge compliment to the work done by Typst master @joseph-barbier.bsky.social.
One of these reports was made in InDesign. The other was made in Quarto + Typst. Can you tell which is which?

With our R in 3 Months program, we give out multiple scholarships. However, some recipients barely participate at all. This is frustrating because we pass over other recipients who likely would participate further. Any ideas for how we can ensure that scholarship recipients actively participate?
Just donated over $2,000 to the @nilc.org as part of our Black Friday fundraiser for @rfortherestofus.com. Thanks to everyone who bought courses!
Ever since we started making documents in Quarto and Typst, I've wanted to make EVERYTHING in Quarto and Typst. Curious to learn how make documents like these? Boy, do I have the blog post for you! #rstats

At 10:00am Pacific time, @joseph-barbier.bsky.social and I are doing a livestream answering your questions about making reports using Typst and Quarto. Join us and ask questions! Or, if you can't make it, ask your questions below! #rstats
Looks like it's back up for me now.
It's because of the global Cloudflare outage. :(
I spent several days working on this blog post and video. Behold everything I know (aka everything @joseph-barbier.bsky.social has ever taught me) about making high-quality PDFs using Quarto and Typst. #rstats
Post is up! #rstats

AI note takers do many things well. Irony is not one of them.

Do I even want to know why @hadley.nz?
Oh man, wish I had a solution for that problem. In this case, we were actually just implementing the template that the client provided in Canva so there was very little back and forth.
I appreciate that!
I'm actually going to record an additional lesson showing this exact thing. Let me know if there's anything in particular you figured out that would be useful to share.
It does!
Yes, that's exactly what the blog post I'm writing is covering! Have you created a Typst template yourself?

I'm writing a blog post on making high-quality reports with Quarto and Typst like the ones we recently made for the Johns Hopkins University International Vaccine Access Center.
Anything in particular you want to know about how we make reports like these? #rstats
Are you attending posit::conf this week in Atlanta! π
If you spot me, come say hi. Iβve got R for the Rest of Us and Clarity Data Studio swag to share.

So smooth (if you get that joke, you are an #rstats nerd).
Screenshot from Kyle Walker's book with text: Over the years I have been developing tigris, I have gotten multiple inquires akin to βwhy does this area look so strange when I download it?β Michigan, with its extensive shoreline along the Great Lakes, commonly comes up. The TIGER/Line shapefiles include water area for geographic features, connecting the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with the southern part of the state and giving an unfamiliar representation of Michiganβs land area. Using the cartographic boundary alternative resolves this. Letβs use patchwork to compare the TIGER/Line and cartographic boundary shapefiles for counties in Michigan as an illustration.
Of course @kylewalker.bsky.social already had a solution that I missed!
