Today, I am proud to support Wales' future and become a member of Plaid Cymru - the only party standing up for Wales and want the best for the future of Wales.

Just over 7 months ago, I left The Labour Party over policy disagreements and a disregarded complaint.

Since then, I have been independent from any party, and thinking about the future.

Petition: Strengthen the political education element of statutory guidance for the Curriculum for Wales in secondary schools Young people are the future of Wales and I think that young people need education on the UK political system, its parties, its challenges and its elections. Although comparing and evaluating systems of government, and β€˜rights and responsibilities of citizens’, is included in the statutory guidance for 16 year olds (by Progression Step 5), this guidance should be strengthened to put much more emphasis on political education being taught as part of the school curriculum from the age of 14. Not all young people will be interested, sure, however it is needed so they can be involved in our democracy and its democratic procedures.

As a part of my Senedd petition to strengthen political education across Wales, I have created a blueprint on how political education should be in Wales, you can sign the petition here: petitions.senedd.wales/petitions/24... and read the blueprint here: drive.google.com/file/d/1_Ozb....
