So sorry! We rented an apartment in Oaxaca not realizing the road next to the house would have trucks grinding their brakes all night long. That can totally ruin an experience.

Check out Winston-Salem, NC. Great small town with loads to do and access to lots of great hikes, bikes, kayaks, etc in the surrounding mountains. One of our best friends lives there and would have great suggestions. It would be hot, but not as hot as the rest of the south!
