Oh, that sounds great! I just listened to an excerpt from the audiobook, and Ron Butler’s narration is fantastic.
Now I’m wondering if there’s a good biography about Racine somewhere out there.
I do like bios, but this would only be my second one about an author, I think. The other one (which I’m still reading) is Blight’s excellent Frederick Douglass biography.
I’m thinking about getting the new biography, the one written by Nicholas Boggs.

The spin offs are a lot better, if not perfect. 1923 is my favorite. A good friend is working on the shows so I watch them all. Landman can be kind of guilty pleasure fun if you can stomach the blatant fossil fuel propaganda (I had to mute those scenes).

I might even listen to the audiobook one day bc im actually a big Davis fan and she’s reading it. And the book has very high Goodreads and StoryGraph reviews. Although I honestly don’t know if those are reliable/authentic these days.
I’ve seen the exact same arrangement of names a few days ago, Reese Witherspoon above the title, Harlan Coben below (Gone Before… Something). Is that a new sales trend?

I had that with a Maupassant not long ago… The man has so many collections! I usually check ebook or audible excerpts for the content, but if the edition is pure paper it’s really hard not to skip guessing and just get the damn book.
