Equestria Forever: “Putting Your Hoof Down/It’s About Time” This week, it’s another Fluttershy episode, and this time it’s explicitly dedicated to developing her character. Much as I like her, she is perhaps the hardest character of the main cast to write for because, unless she’s dealing with animals, she is so incredibly shy it borders on absurdity more often than not. While it is true that she can be assertive when the moment calls for it, two of those moments (“Dragonshy” and “Stare Master”) involve interacting with non-equine beings, and the most recent (“The Return of Harmony”) was mainly because Twilight and the others successfully goaded her into it so she could chase down a corrupted Rainbow Dash.
