One building is lost but the station has survived!
π
I reckon he would too
Made it.
There was a constant stream of visitors.
Left him a present. You know what is.
My last 24 hours:
Fire at station
Driver had heart attack
2 hour wait for paramedics (cos fire)
Rail replacement bus
Too late for onward journey
Emergency hotel
Next day forgot to book hotel
Booked wrong night
Went to wrong hotel
Honestly pals.
It is physically impossible that it is still Monday
Even if it wasnβt problematic
Even if it wasnβt a rubbish episode
Why on earth did they let her write the same story again?
Westminster any on the right and a protest waving yellow βnot my kingβ flags
Today in unexpected occurrences Iβve accidentally found myself in the fan enclosure for King Charles visit to Westminster Abby. π
My replies are wild today. People falling over themselves to be βwell, actuallyβ.
Unfortunatly βjust get the train from Edinburghβ doesnβt have the sympathetic solidarity for the devastated businesses you think it does.
Damn, you saw through my propaganda campaign to get station staff the day off.
Back to work Eβbody, this guys given the all clear.
As someone who was there I have zero issue describing it as being at the station. It was.
The medics on the train seemed to think he was. Itβs so scary to think they had to wait 2 hours and then give up on an ambulance.
So you are out here telling them there is a chance that rail services will return to normal today. How is that for your accuracy and fact checking.
Still found time to cover the football
I didnβt say the station had burn down. I said there was a fire at the station. Now you swoop into action to say 12 hours later saying thatβs not true?β¦
That is union street. You are literally looking down union street in the photos.
Since you are so intent on going through my posts as a keyboard warrior intent on nit picking this tragedy you may as well use the correct wording. βAs things stand we've not identified any significant damage to the station. We'll get this fully assessed at first lightβ
You are replying 8 hours after I posted, at the time of posting the coverage was indeed very limited. Glad to see that coverage and knowledge spread.
I didnβt say βinβ, I said βatβ and at time to posting the risk to the station was entirely credible.
It makes me happy that people are safe and that it looks like there will be limited damage to the station.
How callus to see this and try and nit pick.
What a callus reply
Check my sources?! I was there. I was stood right there.
Reports so far are good. They donβt think the station is damaged, but the building connected is gone.
I donβt believe so. The fire had two phases so think people were clear.
Absolutely mystified that you would see this incident and think βgotcha! I must point out the flaws hereβ. If you lived or worked βadjacentβ to that fire I bet you wouldnβt be online calling people overly dramatic.
Started in a vape shop. I insight high chance it was a battery. But not sure there is any info out.
Thatβs wonderful news (well as good as can be hoped for in the situation)
Latest BBC story - as of midnight, Network Rail are saying no damage to the station itself, but they'll reassess at first light.
A Birmingham premier inn. Will carry on early tomorrow
Iβve never looked more nedy/chavy. Look like Iβm about go drink down the park. π
Appreciated π₯°π₯°
Jamie in a pink lit bathroom
I have given up. Iβm in a hotel. Most cursed journey.
β’ station caught fire
β’ driver had a heart attack
β’ wrong platform announced for replacement meaning 90% missed it.
