There are many events where an answer is wanted. Obviously there are some where no isnβt needed, but one possible answer is that the person responding is bad at identifying which is which or habitually answers without thinking about which it is
I donβt think it was needed or wrong. Itβs something the community has been split on for a long time and either answer was fine.
Like, there was a ban after it hit Mtgo, but it explicitly wasnβt because of that and, having played premodern on Mtgo then and watched results, that also just isnβt what happened. There wasnβt a related collapse of the Mtgo metagame
What Iβm saying is that your perception of what happened with premodern is incorrect
Youβre way off base in this thread
Premodern just out here clowning on the entire concept that static card pools get solved
Unfortunately as far as Iβve been able to tell all but one episode are just gone
Was recently on @samuelhblack.bsky.socialβs podcast talking about community building!

They made the correct decision. You might be playing a tempo deck, but if a random viewer copies this list, theyβre probably playing a control deck.
I suspect a lot of this is just skill dif in black v red
Tymna is a very strong card, second or third strongest commander after Rog
@sarahf.bsky.social hey, it turns out Iβm not sure how to contact you
My absolute favorite podcast
Having written a lot with a word minimum, I always feel weird about releasing short episodes, but I think length is mostly something the creator thinks about. As a listener, Iβll just listen to something else when itβs over. I donβt care how long it is as long as itβs interesting
Technically already exists on island/snow covered island and Serendib/Ifh-Bif Efreet
Genius grift I guess
And yeah, now that you mention it I really like the idea of setting expectations there, if you see a common, you know there are two more etc (provided drafters know commonality, which is a stretch, but w/e), also somewhat complicated with the expansions that βdonβt have raresβ
Exactly
Open to the idea that rarity shouldnβt be a factor, but it feels appropriate for my particular nostalgia for the era, where availability definite mattered
I think Iβd be inclined to do one of each rare (exception for duals) and maybe 3 of each common
Most fun cube of the weekend? If different, cube that most exceeded your expectations?

Showed up to a friendβs hobbit party as Smaug, surprising absolutely nobody
Yes, working on it
Thanks!
The first episode of Samβs Table, my new podcast, is up on Spotify! open.spotify.com/episode/7e4o...
Always great to get to draft @aquaone.bsky.socialβs cube, even if I only had time to play one match (accidental hidden card is Loran)
So, like, rather than claiming it doesnβt make sense, you can just Google βtempting wurm decklistβ to find out where itβs being used. I assume this strategy would work in general. (I did have to scroll to the 5th link for a useful answer)
All of this is to say, among other things, that I looked at flights to Portland for the RC, where I could also visit friends in Seattle, but decided it wasnβt worth traveling.
Some part of it is that I used to be working toward building a Hall of Fame resume in Magic, and that motivated me to try as hard as I could to attend events, and now I have no real ambitions, but that might be for the best in terms of letting me maximize my time.
