As a parent of child obsessed with these, I’m so curious.

At this point, if you continue to remain silent, it’s you giving a thumbs up to things. To remain silent in the midst of ALL of this is unacceptable. *Especially* if you are privileged enough to have a platform with an audience.

I’m actually surprised at how few people saw this coming. It was a platform that was “too” open, “too” uncontrollable, in that they couldn’t control the narrative. Of course they would do this.

I just thought everyone should see this

I watched the trailer this morning for it and rushed to Steam to save. I cannot wait for it to come out!!!

I successfully wound the #yarn and then began my new work. A lovely, soft baby blanket for a coworker.

Me, attempting to place #yarn on a swift for the first time, muttering: “I have 2 degrees and 18+ years of therapy. I can figure this out. I’m smart. I’m brave.”
Me, also panic texting a friend for moral support while I do it: “OH MY GOSH I AM SO DUMB!!!”

Bought a less expensive version of the #HugSleep pod for kiddo. She is fascinated at how comfy it is. I’m in awe at how much easier it was for her to settle into sleep. #Neurodivergent brains and restlessness sleepers, highly recommend this!!

I’m gonna get some new TTRPGs and yarn and try and make some joy.

I really, really hate the current reality.

I am accepting that this year, I will have read the smallest amount of books in a decade. I feel a bit sad but also: I did a lot! I jumped into TTRPGs. I wrote. I painted. I crocheted. I rested. I did #EMDR therapy & holy hell did that do a number on me. I started playing a MMO. I healed.

Also: crocheting for 5+ hours and having hyper-mobility means really, really sore/ swollen hands today. If I’m going to finish this blanket, it’s time for compression gloves!

Feeling like myself for the first time since mid-August. It’s really nice to rediscover me. Back to Mer!

Seeing @twentysidedtavern.bsky.social in #KansasCity with @aabria.bsky.social as their special guest was absolutely *beyond* magical. From Will complementing my shirt to briefly meeting Mother herself, it was a hilarious, wonderful, magical time. Ale & well met indeed!!

Making chicken and noodles in the slow cooker today. Cleaning. Watching favorite shows. Crocheting. Happy no scaries Sunday!!

JFC. I know the world is extremely gloomy and dark right now. I think maybe removing myself from the stream of info for a bit might be good for the anxiety/ depression/ settling sense of fatalism….

This is saying something about the state of the world. I caught the tail end of a DJ doing a commemoration for 9/11 victims&I didn’t immediately realize TODAY is 9/11. I just figured that something else horrible happened in our country overnight&this was breaking news. And I wasn’t even surprised?

She is also dressed fabulously. I need an entire novel and/or movie around her.
