Whilst back in the UK for a few days after our epic journey up through Malaysia and Thailand I was very pleased to come across this beautiful fox in my little wood at the end of my street. Such stunning animals. He was quite happy to sit and watch me. #fox #foxes #naturephotography

Dog owners will know: being a pup parent is a 24/7 role.
When patrols are over, our Canine Unit handlers don't clock off. The bond between a tracker dog and her handler is built over years β in the field, they read each other without words.

Very often, usually in English. I have a hard time especially remembering that a bullfinch is a goudvink in Dutch.
And to complicate matters for some: our goudvink literally translated into English is βGoldfinchβ. And the English named bird Goldfinch is named βDistelvinkβ in Dutch π΅βπ«.

A sharply focused Eurasian magpie stands alert on a weathered tree stump, its glossy black head and back contrasting with a bright white shoulder and belly. The birdβs pale grey bill and dark, watchful eye are turned slightly to the side, giving it an inquisitive expression. Soft green foliage blurs into the background, isolating the magpieβs striking black-and-white plumage while a few blades of grass sprout from the textured stump beneath its feet.
Good morning. Todayβs #BirdOfTheDay theme is #Corvidae any bird of the Corvid family. The alt is #LongNecks any bird with a long neck. Good luck. #birds #photography #ECK
