Lots of progress on Daud today - shoe covers cut and edges rolled. One bolt pouch wet-molded (cheating with these due to timing), resized gloves pre-beeswax treatment, and facings for the waistcoat armholes.

It's hard to see here but that blue chintz fabric has its own strong orange-based midtones depending on the light, so I think I'll be good. And for the price of it...
I was initially planning to use a really nice duotone taffeta from SilkBaron (small swatch there) but am 99.9% sure his coat isn't duotone, as the orange-based midtones also show up on his cream-coloured waistcoat.
