He is treating this war like heβs a 14 year old in his basement playing a fucking video game.
If I saw raindrops falling from the sky, ppl carrying open umbrellas, and the ground wet with bouncing water, and then this guy told me it was raining, Iβd assume it was a sunny day.
(Also, what theory of constitutional and statutory interp does he follow? Bc whatever it is can be equally mocked.)
Ditto Brendan Carr, head of the FCC.
Hey Harperβs Letter people, Iβm sure a college kid said a harsh word to a life-tenured fed judge last week during a Q&A, and that has you distracted, but have you seen this guy?
He seems to have a lot of real massive power, seem to be silencing ppl by getting them fired.
You should look into it!
Meta sucks (understatement) but a lot of non-profits are stuck with it for outreach, fundraising, and sponsorships. IF you use those platforms, following Merrymac and engaging with their posts is hugely helpful! If you don't use Meta that's great and you can just keep scrolling.
This seems solidly like something that should be a global crisis and is rarely discussed in American politics
"I'm willing to take a not guilty. I'm willing to take a no true bill."
What she means is she's willing to bring legally deficient cases that harass innocent defendants, waste her line prosecutors' time, and makes her office look like jerkoffs in front of judges and juries.

Small homemade political sign at a rural NC intersection reads: TRUMP LIES I WANT MY VOTE BACK
We are going to win.
Today ~9am I headed into βtownβ to do a spot of light protesting.
A mile from my very rural home I encountered this homemade sign at a quiet country crossroads. #ncpol
In Oct-Nov β24, my community ripped every Dem political sign out of my yard. Six times.
In March 2026:
If you are looking for a group of people who have ruined a lot of lives and then whined like babies about any negative feedback, look at DOGE. Just like their idol, Musk.

Trump supporters placed people on watchlists, writing profiles about them. About half had left govt or were fired. They were harassed, receiving up to 30 threatening calls per day, and were accosted in person in public spaces. They feared for their safety.

Where are the judges reinstating the jobs of govt employees fired because Laura Loomer or Chris Rufo went after them. They people who destroyed govt must have their reputations protected, even as they ruined the careers and lives of people who served govt.
donmoynihan.substack.com/p/the-era-of...
This is, to put it mildly, a double standard. This guy was part of a government that encouraged online social media figures to engage in routine harassment of government employees to the point that many were fired or went into hiding. Some of it was done by Elon Musk, this guy's boss.
Unprecedented corruption. Literally asking for billions of dollars.
I end my history of the Republican Party with a question: What comes after Trump?
We are most likely looking at a prolonged, chaotic, and dirty struggle between different radical factions and different shades of extremism.
Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iranβs attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe. We have already destroyed 100% of Iranβs Military capability, but itβs easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are. Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated. In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE! President DONALD J. TRUMP
Days after declaring total victory and boasting that no other military could match the US, Trump is now begging other countries β including China β to send warships to stop his Iran war from spiraling into catastrophe.
A galactic humiliation.
On the background of colorful condoms text reads: In a post Roe United States, keeping condom use normalized and sexy in romances in which one partner can get pregnant is important. Iβm rounding up some of my favorite condom scenes. From planning ahead to a frantic search, from a vampire in a zombie apocalypse to a sweet park ranger, and from hate sex to the start of a new relationship, condoms show a baseline of respect, care-taking, and consent. Above the text are 4 books: Born to be Badger by Shelly Laurenston; Witch You Would by Lia Amador; Zomromcom by Olivia Dade; One More Valentine by Katrina Jackson Below the text are 5 books: Bold Moves by Emma Barry; Fan Service by Rosie Danen; This Time, Next Year by Ruby Barrett; Love at First Flight by Janine Amesta; Enemies to Lovers by Alisha Rai
I am alarmed by the trend Iβm seeing in romance books to have the safe sex talk while getting hot and heavy and then opt not to use condoms. I hate it so I decided to roundup some favorite recent books with condoms used in m-f relationships 1/10
As many people have posted in my comments their ... awkwardness in the videos is because they know they can't say the truth nakedly on main.
The REAL cultural story IMHO is how many people are willing to burn down their own lives and this country so they can be bigots.
You are not going to get me to empathize with these grown men - Cavanaugh was 28, and Fox was 27 (they are 29, and 28 now IIRC)
You can argue they didn't know it was potentially criminal but even if what they were doing was legal it was steeped in bigotry. They don't get a pass on that.
You don't get to paper over the fact that they are bigots. They knowingly wanted to strip minorities and women of any historical representation. They killed projects simply because they had ethnic identities and genders attached.
For example, a nursing home magnate who withheld $38 million in payroll taxes was prosecuted by Trumpβs Justice Department, with Trumpβs former personal-lawyer-turned-US-Attorney Alina Habba claiming credit. After giving almost $1 million to lobbyists, the magnate was out after three months of his three year sentence. The lobbyists in question, Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, became infamous for their laundering of conspiracy theories during Trumpβs first term, and were subsequently convicted in multiple states for voter suppression efforts. Binance spent about $800,000 to secure Zhaoβs pardon. The Wall St. Journal reports that the going lobbyist rate is about $1 million to secure a pardon, but can go up to $6 million for a βsuccess fee.β
The Mr. Schwartz in question already gave almost a million to another pair of grifters for his pardon, so my guess is there is are multiple Trump hanger-ons claiming credit for his pardon, and trying to get a cut.
Trump pardons are like chum to sharks.
donmoynihan.substack.com/p/pardon-the...
Joseph Nocella Jr., the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, in a statement issued Saturday morning, accused Mr. Nass of having βplotted the violent extortion of one of his own clients.β Mr. Nass had been paid $100,000 by the client, but was owed an additional $500,000, according to court papers in the case unsealed on Saturday. The filings claim that Mr. Nass instructed someone he hired to βdo anything and everythingβ to collect the outstanding funds from the clientβs son.
"The papers strongly suggest that the targets of Mr. Nassβs threats were Mr. Schwartz and one of his sons, though they are not named."
This very much reads like a guy who sold a felon a pardon from Trump tried to extort another $500K from the felon he felt he was owed.
Black-and-white photo of a short haired, tabby cat sitting on the stoop of a wooden house. It looks toward the camera, but itβs eyes are mostly scrinched shut.

This is absolutely bonkers and infuriating.
