A4 i am indifferent. People who want to stay "connected" in parks have a way... i was live streaming Firefall sat/sun. Starlink. There is no cell service at the spot. Do i want NPS to <fix> that? No.
Tech (connectivity) Infrastructure should be kept up, but not necessarily expanded. #parkchat
A3 participant, not carry the flag. NOAA, EPA, and should be a driving force. NPS, USFS, USFWS, BLM all should participate #parkchat
I used to have to FAX wilderness permit requests to Yosemite. I actually subscribed to eFax just for that. Now web/mobile. That is nice. but sophisticated people ultimately win out the race for permits.

This was the scene on Sat.
The crowd visible in this picture is about 3% of the total around this general area.
Sat-Sun were both great. But looking back at the footage I got, saturday edged it slightly.

It was usual/expected crowd level. ~4000 people. Didnt bother or affect us. We walked back to the van after and ate dinner, had a slice of pie, watched tv. After about 2hrs the traffic was gone and we drove off
Anyone who was in a hurry to leave after was prolly big mad at insane traffic

Late Feb 2023. The park closed due to too much snow then too.
The stars do not streak across the sky. We do. Stars are still. It is the Earth beneath your feet that is spinning - carrying your tent, your sleeping bag, your brief and beautiful life - through the dark.
