For the non-techies: the reason it can be hard to get at the content of PDFs (search, copy and paste, etc.) is that a PDF has no semantic representation of its contents. It’s literally just a stream of instructions to a laser printer: move to (20, 15), draw a “T”, move to (24, 15), draw an “h”, etc.
Generally, I’d consider a file format that AI can’t scrape to be a good thing, even if it’s little more than security through obscurity. apple.news/AE6Ff7PPnSV6...
