Oh for sure. I meant that this story always had more to tell, including him as king etc. So this movie doesn't sound like a reboot or trying to squeeze more out of a dry orange.

That's my feeling on the MI films too. But I see he also did The Way of the Gun, which was flawed but I liked it.

I'm usually no-thanks and resurrecting old IP, but this feels like it could be a good story for it.

I'd prefer a different director but... this could be good.

I'm OK with every random thought in places like this because it's more expected. What I think is uppercase BAD is when news organizations treat and promote those rotten synapse opinion pieces with the same regard as actual news reporting. Looking right at you, NYT.
