A lot of research goes to waste 🗑️ This is partly because researchers rarely share results with the non-scientific community. Even when findings are shared, people with communication disorders find it hard to understand the research.

Been seven years since I first read this, on the English language's *completely universal but totally invisible* adjective hierarchy, and I can honestly say I've thought about it most days since.

Evidence that "children's speech is subject to a speed–accuracy trade-off where increased speaking rate leads to reduced articulatory accuracy & hence reduced intelligibility. Further research is needed on how to apply this trade-off in a clinical setting".

The paediatric service I work for (in Wales)is fully staffed (for the first time in a while, apparently). However, it seems that quite a few of us are on fixed term contracts and have not heard if they'll be renewed in April so it's a precarious place to be!

Information sheet requesting research participation for Project dara. It says: "The Dara project 'Exploring Information' is looking for adults with Aphasia or Developmental Language Disorder' to explore visualisations." It goes on to explain "About the research" (data visualization for everyday decision making); "What will happen" (language assessment and diary exercise); and "Why this research is important" (existing research in data visualization doesn't consider language needs).
