Fragrance Point is awesome
Very nice animation, I was waiting to see some gameplay, though! At least there's a gameplay trailer once I actually visit the Steam page. Looks very interesting, wishlisted for later
It makes me irrationally angry that people want to leave it on the time where the sun is at its highest point in the sky at 1pm instead of noon
This is a William T. Riker appreciation post. Like this post if you appreciate Will Riker.
Happy Birthday!
They beat a blind refugee who speaks no English for failing to obey police commands he could not understand. Then instead of apologizing, they charged him with possession of a “weapon”—HIS WALKING STICK. Then they dumped him miles from home without notifying anyone, after which he was found dead.
And the beautiful siren Goddess of Generative AI who promises endless comfort and carefree days as long as you stay in her AI castle forever
Sanrio characters stand upon a floating, rotating stage that is a wretched amalgam of arbitrary sea life, food, and temples. The whole thing hovers in the middle of a digital coliseum with binary strings raining from the sky. It is surrounded by floating signs which say things like "GENERATE," "PROCESSING," and "PROMPT." Subtitles for the lyrics say, "Let's Generate Let's Generate"
Ditto, lyrics say "Processing... in progress..."
Ditto, lyrics say "We create the future,"
Ditto, lyrics say, "with AI support along the way."
Got some good pictures of the weirdest lyrics

1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.
Hundreds of kids are still detained.
We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵
Ooh that's a good idea
Very good. I've been trying to narrow down a genre, and American Primitivism seems like the best bet so far, but it might still be too broad a term to find exactly what I'm looking for. The DF soundtrack has a slow darkness to it that's hard to pin down

I've been listening to this soundtrack a lot while playing Minecraft/Vintage Story, and I've been desperately searching for more that sounds like it
Look out behind you!!
I've always thought this would be an amazing concept for an asymmetrical VR coop game
Reminds me of an amazing Code Lyoko game I played on Roblox of all places. I played as the command character and a friend played as the character getting sent to Lyoko. I had to type real code to spawn weapons and vehicles for my friend to use
The biggest risk in this moment is something sociologists call “symbolic compliance.”
That’s when an institution that is violating civil rights gives the public just enough symbolic victories that accountability efforts lose steam before there has been any meaningful change.
Wait a minute. I *did* make one, it's my pinned post (but I wanted, and still want, to make a different one)
I've wanted to make a grappling game for over 6 years. It's a natural indie urge. It's like carcinisation
A bunch of animal people waiting to run, they are shown sweating and looking at each other nervously. Everyone is waiting to run, anxiously waiting for everyone to go off. A bunch of small panels showing glancing eyes, claws tense, everything on edge. Last panel shows a bunny girl take a breath and then zooms out to show a large endless crowd at the starting line.
Minneapolis protester as he's being brutalized by feds: "You're gonna have to kill me! You're gonna have to kill me! I've done nothing wrong! My name is Matthew James! I'm a US citizen! You're gonna kill me! Is that what you want?" (You can hear his wife screaming)
A single comic panel of Sonic the Hedgehog reclined with one leg crossed over the other and a speech bubble over his head with much of the text erased so it reads "I want games made by people and I'm not kidding!"
I've had this image in my head for several months now and have to get it out
While the pasty incels who work the federal agencies continue to churn out feeble, bloodless AI pastiches of Axis propaganda, here’s how a living breathing artist powerfully invokes design history. This is by illustrator Emily K in South Philly, a free poster-sized download on her website: →
Text: “A friend said those of us who live in Minneapolis should write about what's going on here for folks who live elsewhere. You need to know that whether you're a Republican, Independent or Democrat, the Constitution is being violated by our federal government. This is not about catching criminals, or even deporting people. It is about punishing an entire state, including citizens, for not supporting the president. Everyone in my part of Minneapolis is affected. On our streets, ICE is stopping people of color and demanding their papers. In America. US citizens do not have to prove citizenship to ICE. Yet people are being intimidated, some cases beaten up and detained, for requiring ICE to follow the law. ICE needs a judicial warrant to enter homes. Yet there are documented cases of them ignoring the law - violating a bedrock constitutional principle. Americans of color are staying home, afraid to go to work, school, to grocery shop, or fill their cars with gas. This isn't just "illegals" or immigrants with valid work permits, it is citizens who have had their cars rammed by ICE for merely looking Hispanic. Businesses are closing. Schools are 50 percent full. When they are open, fascists are calling in bomb threats because the president decided to make us a meme. After a daycare teacher with a valid work permit (through 2030) was snatched from her workplace, parents (and grandparents) have had to organize to watch their SCHOOLS, to make sure conditional rights are observed. This is being repeated throughout Minnesota. Imagine trying to do your job or live you life while also taking volunteer shifts to make sure the federal government doesn't act extrajudicially. Because of ICE's documented abuses, neighbors have organized to monitor federal actions. This observation is legal, as long as it doesn't interfere with a valid action. Yet since ICE killed Renee Good, they are increasingly stopping this observation, breaking car windows and …”
People not in Minnesota: please read this excellent summary of what life is like in Minneapolis since the murderous scum ICE swarmed here. And more are on their way. By local reporter / writer / bike dude / legend @dbrauer.net .
Note that the fascist is not using the pepper spray for crowd control. He is entering a vehicle unimpeded to depart. He is simply using the pepper spray to physically punish an unarmed citizen he doesn't like.
Everybody should watch this and see this woman, who has a baby in her arms and is thrust into basically a standoff, develop courage in real time.
The murder was caught on film from multiple angles, including by the killer. Despite this evidence, the US government continues to promote this maddening lie
That alone should be enough to convince anyone to not believe a single thing they ever say again. That is how easily and confidently they lie
Just to drill this a little deeper:
A married couple just dropped their kid off at daycare. The highest levels of US government would have you believe that they then went into some kind of unhinged lesbian blood-frenzy and decided to drive their toy-filled SUV into as many ICE officers as possible.
Oh my god
