In a vet check up we got an X-ray and found out one of the boys has a (long healed) spinal injury.
No mobility loss and he's pretty strong but one of these is not like the other one

Wild leopard geckos catch cryptosporidium in the sun.

It takes a particularly brainwashed fool like Liam to not understand this.
My biggest concern is preventable disease whether it be deleterious genes or pathogens.
The reptile hobby has the absolute least disease awareness and Liam himself handwaved serpentovirus in ball pythons away as something prevented by sunlight. Wild ball pythons catch this. In the sun.
Liam of Reptiles and Research trying to click bait after doing things like pitching Dr. John Campbell pseudoscience and claiming temp guns bounce lasers off of surfaces to tell the temperature... the reptile hobby is awful.
This is the same person who, under the help of two aging individuals, swore everyone should far exceed any doses of vitamin D because it would help prevent respiratory disease (yes - including *that one*) while piggybacking on ReptiFiles cloning Wikipedia 🤡
These people are terrible.
This is sadly most likely true.
Which raises another question on why ReptiFiles and Mariah Healey recommended feeding them to hognose snakes.

For years someone sold a supplement for boas and ball pythons that allegedly contained vitamin D, but was probably made out of crap from GNC. 🤡

Wickens' significant other is (was?) a vet tech. He's been doing this for years. If it can happen to him it can happen to anyone. We've personally offered to introduce him to the University of Guelph in Canada to prevent this type of thing

2026 predictions - the world will reverse course on preventable disease. At the moment the US is just wholly engaged with causing as much injury and death as possible. That includes reptiles. New era of screening and prevention

I'm sure Reptiles and Research will praise this, but this is very, very bad. Animals At Home Network will undoubtedly quote Jordan Peterson. The Reptile Lighting Forum will tell you vitamin D removes PFAS - it doesn't.
This is how we got here and our native animals will suffer for it.
