i keep a spreadsheet for things and most of those color codes are what i use for the teams. but i do a light gray for Haas (history with gray cars) with red text and white with blue text for VCARB. and black/white for Caddy

im all for mixing it up. drivers should not be able to time a jump each race, but have to react to the lights whenever they go out
simplify more; give the active aero the same thing. so you have 60 seconds of AA to deploy at anytime during a race and 60 seconds of hybrid power. puts everyone on a more equal playing field and not as reliant on charging/deploying battery power
some "retro-modern" NFL concepts
if i were 20 years younger i think id be into it
ill make another suggestion: just do away with the overtake mode. then the rules are the same as last year: DRS (now with 2 wings) and battery power (now at 50%). but make the battery like Indycar. 60 seconds to use for the whole race. simplify to improve
Brand Archive, like Pinterest but just for brands. Now with Bridgestone, 1981.
Have a look π brandarchive.xyz
i would like the new F1 car a lot without the 50/50 hybrid power. but broadcast could help by having a graphic displaying battery power more often. shouldnt be hearing the booth ask βhow much battery does he haveβ over and over
i take βnot having timeβ as knowing theres not much left
this is why fascism is so funny. anything that isnβt βamerica best country everβ like the language being called English, is an affront to their entire being that they cannot deal with. its pussy ass bitch behavior
the way things look now, George Russell will walk to the championship. still have to see race pace though. and i THINK China will shake this order up a bit
2 notes from FP1:
1. HAM frustrated and coaching the new engineer over the radio. he seems very green. trouble relaying gaps ahead/behind
2. watching onboards, i genuinely cant tell if they're on a push lap or not.
2000s NFL logos (in regards to form, not color) have that in spades. one comes from the 90s; the Titans. and it looks like we're about to lose that one, primarily, to nostalgia.
and narratives. a poorly drawn cartoon of a mascot playing a sport can still have its place. i do not think this is better design than something that represents a larger, meaningful narrative in simple, timeless, well executed form...
they were never good logosβor uniforms. the craft was bad. no one liked it. it represented a losing era. it became dated. to bring back stuff like this simply because it is of a different style than more contemporary design is a mistake. teams should also examine design's personality...
i absolutely believe there are many things better than in the past than today, even within sports design. but what worries me is an overcorrection that may happen without important examination and nuance. some logos went away for good reason...
nostalgia stems from not being able to deal with modern times. combine that with an uncertain world (to say the least) and its no wonder people want to escape, through sports, to a simpler, familiar time. at least one that is perceived that way...
i think nostalgia in sports branding is stronger today than its ever been. generally, i believe aggressive logos & color palettes of the 2000s have run their course and people are ready for brighter, bolder, charming design like of the 70s-90s.

there are others, but what might be the most annoying trend in ai is companies naming their product after brilliant people
love the cluster at the top. the rest is too minimal for Nothing. besides being part of the product identity and what makes them cool, detailing in the body would balance the upper part nicely.
every time i watch Walter Mitty (one of my favorite movies btw) i start wondering if i should quit design and become a photographer
good god what a disaster
serial down-voters in forums were more annoying than any unhinged poster
feel like this is giving the argument elon bought twitter to destroy it a lot of merit
In the next month or so I intend to do The Haterβs Guide To Adobe
this is what ive been waiting for from the Dems, so ill take it from Tillis. be viciously mean to them to their faces while exposing their incompetence
weβre hoping to move there. i will have to get a hat if we do!
will be making a few of these this year. maybe some prints later on. the theme for '26 is to highlight a local beverage.
