Look ma, no passwords!
Happy Cypherpunk Manifesto day to those that celebrate!

AI is accelerating us to a world where licenses will be irrelevant. The speed with which any major code base can be "reimplemented", and thus released under any desired license is so fast, it won't matter which license you choose.
Wow, are employers seriously microchipping employees?
This is crazy.
If I were @cloudflare.social BDFL for a day here are the two features I would add:
1οΈβ£ A Cloudflare KSM so our services could securely custody private keys used for signing. π
2οΈβ£ The ability to respond to DNS TXT record queries via a Cloudflare worker. (UDP & DoH) π
How do I know Claude was trained with human data?
I asked for advice on how to test some Passkey logic:
as someone that recently forked cirrus for a project I am working on, would love to see the underlying issues addressed

Fun little project to let Farcaster accounts morph into AT Protocol account. Farcaster accounts are onboarded into a PDS that only allows login via Farcaster signing keys, so no password.
Is there a way to interact with this tile directly (via the URI)?
I naively tried webtil.es/browser/ but it only supports ing.dasl.masl.
This is a super interesting atproto design spaces!
What if Farcaster users could login to Bluesky with their Farcaster identity?
tomΔto, tomato
not sure if you poked it again, or a cache just needed to expire, but it's working now!
Thank you!!!! πππππππ
I can see that it updated the PDS host (progress), but it looks like it is pointing at the previous (temp) one I used in my first test, not the current one in the DID Document. Any chance you can poke one more time?
hmm, I moved my PDS to a new host (tried two), and according to the the debug.hose.cam it shows my DID as active, but shows it as "behind". I cannot seem to do anything to got this "did:web:1898.fid.is" DID to show up in Bluesky, any other ideas?
Federate where you can, p2p mesh where you must
I had the brilliant idea to build a PDS that didn't support username/password. Then tried to login to BSky...
What's that thing Mike Tyson said, "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." π₯΄
fwiw, sorry for testing in production...π¬
ah, in my case I am reusing the same web did (did:web:1898.fid.is) I'm only updating the verificationMethod key.
but, I am foggy on the valid lifecycle of atproto identities, so it's possible the identity events that I'm emitted are confusing the BSky indexer.
wrt to others being deactivated, I have only one instance of my PDS and one account on that PDS. But i've been wiping and recreating it many times which may have resulted in crusty state being left somewhere that I don't understand.
% goat relay host status 1898.fid.is --json
{"hostname":"1898.fid.is","seq":139,"status":"active"}
Matches my local seq. When I push commits, I see them both increment, but still BSky not indexing.
When I view it on debug.hose.cam it shows as "active" but it's not showing up in the BSky app.

Is anyone on the Bsky team willing to give up a few minutes to help troubleshoot why a new account on a new PDS is no longer being indexed by the BSky app view?
Did all the steps in marvins-guide.leaflet.pub/3mbskx3u7rs2u but I think deleting & recreating my account a bunch of times broke something
Bluesky is ridiculously well-positioned for the agent internet. Everything signed = agents can build up un-fakeable reputations. newsletter.squishy.computer/p/llms-break...
almost nobody is building the network they want leaving the uninitiated vulnerable to the default tyranny
It would be better to address the valid critiques of ATP than to advocate for a social that is even less practical for normies.
On Nostr, what happens if:
1. you lose your identity private keys
2. your identity private keys are compromised
First time I used this feature on a NY subway it was magical!
No to calls.
Yes to reactions.
What do you mean by social expansions?
