I prefaced all my content this offseason the same way. Malik changed the complexion of the QB market and he accelerates this build tenfold. We just scratched off the biggest, most important need.
I also think we have a good GM/HC/QB. Seems like a good formula.

Malik Willis did this in two games last year where the temperature was below freezing in both. One of those games had consistent 20 MPH winds and gusts as strong as 40 MPH.
He also ran 19 times for 104 yards and 2 TD in these games.
But hey, @MAGAFins1399 doesn’t like the sample size or contract.

I think the Willis signing increased Miami’s win total by several games (3? Maybe 4) this year. And I see no reason we can’t be the darling team heading into 2027.
Not that crazy to think we could have:
Willis
Achane
Waddle
Cam Coleman
Dulcich
WR3/TE2?
Paul
Vega Ioane
Brew
Jonah
Austin
In 2027

And I think Hafley could do more with less than what the offense could. So keep surrounding your (IMO) franchise-altering QB with premium resources and let Haf fill up his side with hand-picked gems to complement Brooks, KG, Jordan, hopefully Chop/Marshall/Brents/Trader.

Now, with the QB, you can start to think about how you want to shape this offense. To me, Miami has stalwart solutions at:
QB, WR1, RB, LT, C, and I still think Jonah is gonna be a plus starter, so one G.
The 2027 class is loaded at WR. You could drop a blue chip OL or TE in at 11 this year.

Played this round with one of our team photogs who was getting all kinds of awesome shots.
And I mean damn man look at this frame!! That left heel snuck up on me but otherwise…”this is why you l̶i̶f̶t̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶w̶e̶i̶g̶h̶t̶s̶ hit all them balls.”

The moment you see the tweet from the main account.
Trust me, I’m jonesing just as bad (I already recorded it lol).
I think I might do his film pod and his interview separate.

We haven't even begun to talk about how a QB with 4.4 speed does to this run game, which was pretty damn good in 2025. Backside defenders, get ready to learn zone read keeper.

I really like Jordan Love, too! Some of this goes back to how I felt about Malik coming out of Liberty - he's already a top five QB in terms of pure physical gifts. Can't name five better arms or better athletes. Then we saw him show proof of concept playing the position last year. He's him.

I would've agreed had Willis not emerged as the player we saw in his appearances this year - he changed the landscape of the QB market, IMO.
And tbh, fuck tanking. Now we get to watch a young, gritty team go through some shit with their QB and they'll come out in 2027 so much better for it.

Non film watchers.
I don't know how you can watch that tape and come away with anything other than we just got a prized No. 1 overall prospect who's already developed. That's what we're dealing with here.
And he's got familiarity with the staff and GM. Biggest HR the Dolphins have hit since 1983.

I am so fuckin back in, man haha. Like I am floating.
I think this is a top 10 QB and perhaps after a full season, closer to the top end of that range.
I think the Dolphins just got the GM, HC, and QB all right.

Shot an 87 lol
One of those rounds where the ball striking was really good but I putt like shit and wasn’t sharp with the short wedge game. That’s a reps thing though and I’m out of practice there.

I think offensive line play. The first year is the least telling for how the players’s career will go when they struggle. It’s the position that gets least developed at the college level. And he changed sides, positions, and the basic fundamentals how he’s played OL his whole life.

There are a few FA guards that satisfy what I'm looking at - guys that started slow and began to blossom late into their rookie contracts.
Sean Rhyan
Ed Ingram (too expensive)
Zion Johnson (too expensive)
Chris Paul
Dylan Parham
