Well I'm being weird because I'm leaving branches separate forever, as a learning aid. I suppose I could have like N different repos instead. Trying to show the progression of adding r9y to a baseline simple app.
arrange them by "nines" of availability (like 99.9%, 99.99%, etc). also consider changes to the app itself. can we run parallel, independent frontends, can we partition the database? heck, are we even doing retries with exponential backoff yet?
In here we will introduce radical improvements to the system which might not be cost-effective for everyone. Make a new branch and come up with a plan that includes mulit-region, multi-database, multi-cloud mitigations.
