There is a very long and problematic history of cultural appropriation and mistranslations of Chinese literature based on a misunderstanding of Chinese (e.g. Ezra Pound). Please stop perpetuating the idea that using only a dictionary/word-by-word definitions would provide a sufficient understanding of a Classical Chinese work for the purpose of literary analysis/translations.
