Lovely stuff, Freebs.
There's a strong whiff of urban myth about them. Our school was undoubtedly one of many across the UK where a kid had been "killed by a javelin". Every September, the fresh intake of pupils were told the exact same story, but the alleged date of the incident remained a steadfast "7yrs ago".
There was often talk of "legendary" school battles, but they were suspiciously located at a period in time where anyone who might have been involved would no longer be a pupil. The closest we got to it was the rivalry between teenagers from Hilltop (Hatfield) & Woodhall (WGC) which did involve fists
A section from one of the School Wars posters. The background image is 50/50 split between red and blue, while the wording says: "Anyone you see from the opposite jump their pressure them to record and then send me a DM to post". Underneath that, in block capitals, is the request to "BE VIOLENT". The BBC description for the image reads "Some of the posters were made with AI, making them appear slick and professional." This is either a clear piss-take or wildly delusional, and I'm still none the wiser.
Just read a BBC article about the recent Red vs. Blue/School War kerfuffle where I found myself wholly unconvinced that "slick and professional" was a fair assessment of this particular use of AI.
I gave up after a deeply unsatisfying 4hrs. Was tempted to return for the zombie stuff, but never did.
A picture of Oor Wullie sitting on his bucket. He's been made to look like Wolverine, with pointy hair and pointy teeth. The blades are visible on his hands and his outfit is now blue and black, with a yellow 'X' on the front of his black dungarees. The wording above his head reads "OOR WOLVIE".
It goes some way towards explaining how he looks so young for a 90yr old.
Hand-painted BG depicting a down angle of a retro skyscraper topped with elaborate signage. Shinji painted this very early on, one of his first fully realized BG paintings. The painting was never used, though the same building appears early in the film.
Shinji Kimura's great "Talkie Building," one of our first fully realized BG. Though the same building appears in the movie, the painting was never actually used as a BG.
Hand-painted, of course β Nicker Poster Colors on art paper.

The lovely, atmospheric title sequence to forgotten Irish supernatural anthology WHEN REASON SLEEPS (1987), an RTE/Channel 4 co-production. The Goya etching 'The Sleep of Reason Produces Monsters' was the clear inspiration.
The movie poster for "The Lost Boys", but Michael is now Rik Mayall/Rik, David is now Ade Edmondson/Vyvyan, Star is now Nigel Planer/Neil, Dwayne is now Christopher Ryan/Mike and Sam is now Alexie Sayle/one of the Balowski Family. The title has been changed to "The Young Ones".
The movie poster for "The Terminator" (1984) showing the leather clad cyborg holding a mean-looking, laser sighted gun. There are also red laser beams visible behind him. Arnie's face has been swapped for Rik Mayall as Flashheart (the Blackadder Goes Forth moustachioed iteration) and the title has been changed to "Flashheart".
The movie Poster for "Dredd" (2012) but Dredd is now Drop Dead Fred, who's carrying a water pistol and a tin of white paint, which he's used to paint over the additional "D" in "Fredd".

My guess would require the assistance of The Two Ronnies.

Happy birthday to Betty Boo. Here's a reminder of the time she rapped with Public Enemy in the McDonalds at Shepherd's Bush back in 1987 (look out for the unimpressed manager!)

There can be only⦠two?!
Iβve written a new official book on Highlander for the 40th anniversary - plenty I couldnβt get for the first book inc new interviews, unseen photos, deleted scene coverageβ¦ even lifelong fans havenβt heard a lot of this.
