"Rain" by Madonna
"Rain" by Madonna. I love this song. Of Madonna's songs, "Rain" is one of my favorites. I still remember hearing the song on the radio for the first time and wanting to hear it again.

I'm finally writing my memoir about growing up as a Jewish trans woman. It was inevitable that it would be through a media lens of movies, TV, and music. The hope is to go through a traditional publisher rather than self-publish.
I don't like that I have to keep writing articles like this one regarding Disney or Pixar. I'm transgender and have never once viewed going to the movies as a form of therapy. But wanting to see myself represented on screen shouldn't be too much to ask for, is it?
Pete Docter says Pixar isn’t making “hundreds of millions of dollars of therapy.” But for kids who never see themselves on screen, representation isn’t therapy—it’s visibility.
