A new project by our researcher Alessandro Ansani has been funded by the Research Council of Finland under the Academy Research Fellow program! 🤩 The project explores the cross-modal connections between features across different senses, such as sight & sound.

Using dynamic functional connectivity analysis, we show that musicians’ brains shift more often between sensorimotor, emotional, and cognitive networks involving frontal, motor, and auditory regions & non-musicians engage more self-referential patterns centred on medial prefrontal & parietal areas.
