It's a little interesting that his name, Yamagami (山上), could be spelt with the kanji for Kami (神) and still be pronounced the same. He also testfied to testing his arms in Nara Mountain, so 山神 has some credence? IDK if all that sounds incredibly chuuni or weird to Japanese people, though.
