My ongoing exhaustion and nice li’l depression (🤏) found an ally in this fresh head cold. Together they have accomplished sleeplessness and a new sensation I can best describe as my bones are made of bruised shit now. I just had a cold in January and I did not enjoy it. NO ONE ASKED FOR A SEQUEL 🤬

I hadn’t read his fiction before only comics. I was impressed and need to dive into his back catalogue.
I had a nightmare that I sent a professional email and then upon rereading it discovered it was overloaded with corny lingo as if written by a felt puppet from a children’s tv show in the mid 60’s like “easy peasy” and “okey dokey.”
It’s a great book. Read it last year. Seems to have flown a bit under the radar which is a shame.
i keep seeing writers who want both:
* to be bold iconoclasts going against the pretenses and trends of the day and
* to have a perfect 5.0 review score on goodreads
and like, I'm sorry. those things don't go together.

It’s a small novelty but one of my Arbitrary Success Metrics is getting sent ARCs or eARCs. I got my first eARC approval this morning for a guest we’ve got coming on the podcast and it makes me giddy. It’s not like I don’t have hundreds of books to read but this one is an uncorrected proof!

This makes a certain amount of sense - probably the most plausible reason to wonder - but also no sense at all. It is hard to lose track of the month in the 21st century. Does he not have a cell phone? What kind of life does he have where I am his best source for this information?

I think they occupy a secret third path in the giants / not giants binary. They are simultaneously giants AND not giants. A true paradox of giantness, if you will.
