a tan chihuahua-sized rodent with a graying muzzle is being held aloft in front of a white wall. the creature looks at the camera with dark, round eyes. each of his ears are the size of his head, sticking out on either side like satellites. he looks a little embarrassed that he's been caught.

After a week of glorious sunshine, the warm temperatures once again give way to a snowstorm just before the official start of spring; this snowy tableau shows my neighbours trying to navigate their cars through a sludge of snow and slush on the city street. Snow on the roofs of the buildings to the left and right of the street make me want to go back to bed until it melts.
Not enough swear words in my vocabulary for this Ides of March mess...
"...plenty of precedents of council giving slaps on wrist to developers." Time for that to stop.

A shot overlooking the city, taken from a 12th floor balcony. It's early evening and a thick band of cloud is hovering between the darkened city scape and the just setting sun, forming a four-part horizontal division of the sky. As a person who (now) rarely has to venture across that bridge I'm not at all surprised. I was driving at-speed (70km) on Tuesday morning 9:55 am and multiple cars/trucks passed me at speeds I'd estimate at 85-90 km/hr - it was like it was a race to see who could get across first.
