The plan represents a scaling of ambition that the sector has long been waiting for. It’s far more than just money and growth...
We welcome the #LocalPowerPlan. It represents a scaling of ambition that the sector's long been waiting for.
It also recognises the importance of communities having a voice and stake in the UK's energy system – which is essential for building public buy-in for #NetZero.

✅ Plans for devolution are an opportunity to drive growth, it's reassuring to see that mayors and strategic authorities may have a key role.
❌ But there needs to be a stronger solution for areas that fall outside the devolution priorities or don’t have strong existing local delivery.

✅ We welcome the intention to support a managed transition with the closure of the ECO, and to ensure any new Warm Homes funding from April 2026 supports the workforce affected.
‼️But the industry urgently needs clarity about top-up funding allocations and access to these new supply chains.

✅ We support linking local #Retrofit schemes and advice providers, but more clarity and detail is needed on when and how this will be achieved.
❌ We're disappointed not to see more support for #CommunityEnergy groups who want to improve delivery of home energy retrofit in their area.

✅ We applaud the £1.5b allocated to the new Warm Homes Agency and its ambition to simplify scheme delivery, improve consumer protections and provide information.
❌ But centralised #EnergyAdvice provided through a national online and phone service is not sufficient to build consumer trust.
