Alina is such a – you know. Purposely mispronouncing Kamala's name. Getting the wrong name of the person whose funeral she's criticizing. Beyond that, nobody cares what Alina says anyway.
Useless and classless
Definitely. I just ran out of room.
When I was a professor, I always cautioned my students about NOT depending on spell check because "pubic" is a real world. And at least ONCE A SEMESTER I got something turned in with "pubic relations" because they DID NOT read before submission.
While I support this idea in theory, I'm reminded that "any woman" isn't always a good idea. A few come to mind: (not all elected but all in government, now or in the past)
Pam Bondi
Kristi Noem
Karoline Leavitt
Lauren Boebert
Susan Collins
Marsha Blackburn
Katie Britt
Sarah Palin
Kay Ivey
I worked in and taught public relations for decades. I honestly worked every single day to ensure I never made that particular typo.
... them by taking an objective look at what they've created and showing them how they can improve it. That's not an inherently negative approach, but many writers look at it that way.
If an author can't take critical review from an editor, how are they going to take it from readers?

AS AN EDITOR, I'm always amazed at how editors are branded as being hard to deal with.
Our job is not to criticize or tear down an author's work but to collaborate with them to make that work the best it can be. I'm a former professor and approach editing the way I did teaching: helping ...

…caused by too much reliance on social media and herd mentality, organized crime, raging power struggles and personal trust.
So a young man’s death isn’t just a single crime for homicide. It’s got global implications.
Even life in Three Pines is affected. Another great Gamache story.

…there’s always at least one significant issue - usually related to current events- that’s involved as well.
Nothing is simple in these books. If you want that, read a cozy. But here Louise brings in environmental crises, tense international relationships, lack of critical thinking, damage…

Someone talked about posting books by women (one of those 30 books over 30 days things I dislike, mostly because they include no reviews).
Here’s the latest by one of my favorite authors that’s a woman: “The Black Wolf” by Louise Penny.
Louise always gives us a great mystery. But …

@playwrightsteve.bsky.social posts short stories about his characters on his website. What a brilliant idea! It lets readers know more about the people we’ve grown to love in his books. It’s also a brilliant PR tactic to get viewers returning to his site.
Writers: be like Stephen!

He keeps talking about TFG like the Criminal-in-Chief actually has any insight whatsoever into military actions, despite never having served a millisecond in any branch of the military. (Of course, TFG pretends he has insight into government, despite a complete lack of knowledge in that area.)
I disliked very intensely that final season in which VMars comes back to Neptune to live at the beach and hang out again with the loathsome Logan Echolls. I didn't think she needed to ever wind up with Piz, but surely in all of California, there's someone more deserving of her.
Who knows?
Didn't they find a car down in the catch basins at some point?
This show is a glorious train wreck. You can't look away.
I thought this particular episode wasn't nearly campy enough. There was so much potential to be mined.
After all the Veronica Mars posts, I decided it was time for yet another rewatch.
And yet again, I find Logan Echolls spoiled and loathsome, with few redeeming qualities. What did Veronica ever see in him?
Before you jump me, I know there are a tiny few arguments to be made, but still...

To him I would say, "You first."
In addition to consulting a style manual, I ask myself, "Do I as a reader need this stated some other way?"
WOW, Morgan. Are you new?
Pam is TFG's lapdog. She has no understanding of the law, cares nothing about doing a good job or fairly treating U.S. citizens.
If Pam can't handle the job, she should grow some balls and quit. She diminishes all women by doing a shitty job.

True. It was never big enough for TJ's alone, much less all the other stores there. But Lawd! Having to drag race down the lanes to capture a spot was death-defying.
When you're an editor, EVERY day is National Grammar Day!
I also liked this show and agree about the last seasons going off the rails.
