The University of #Sheffield Arts Tower, 05.03.26, which I believe is the tallest building in the world.
I've been told that from the top floor you can see the Isle of Man looking one way and Norway looking the other.

Apparently, βBoots, on the corner of Regent Street, is in the building originally constructed for it in the 1890s and has been there all that time.β I always had it down as a repurposed cinema or music hall or something.

The building that used to house the Crazy Daisy nightclub, where Phil famously met Joanne and Susan, and the rest is history.

By the way, why is Mercury prancing about on top of that cupola?
Castle House, Angel Street / King Street #Sheffield 05.03.26
Featuring the 8-foot glass fibre and metal sculpture of Vulcan by Boris Tietze, commissioned by Horne Brothers men's outfitters in 1961.
You wouldn't know it was Vulcan unless someone told you, would you?
Said park is the jewel in the crown of the CASTLEGATE NEW EDEN project. Consisting of 4 muddy fields brightened by 6 packets of mixed wildflower seeds, coming in at a cost of a mere 200 million quid, it will be opened by a disco organised by Death Disco Josephs herself. Beatniks will not be welcome.
An exceptionally good TV programme, in that it conveys an understanding of place informed by a wider commitment to the collective transmitted by way of a diamond geezer.

King Street #Sheffield 05.03.26
It amuses me that this ghastly passageway is called King Street, & that the blasted wasteland it is attached to is called Angel Street.
I dare say that Death Disco Josephs & her pals at the council are passionately planning to transform it into New Eden as we speak.
A real and existing TV programme broadcast by the BBC in 1978.

I would say that this image was directly influenced by 'The Pleasure Principle' by RenΓ© Magritte.

I observed that the ivy berries were in excellent condition. βResearch indicates that ivy berries contain almost as many calories as a Mars bar, providing essential energy for birds like blackbirds, thrushes, and woodpigeons.β

Near the entrance to a care home.
All considered, I think the sign looks better in black and white.
1. ARP. 2. ARP Clouded.
Although I've never lived on Crookesmoor Road, I'm so familiar with the area that I can clearly picture what you're describing. Crookes Valley Park was one of the first places I went to during my first visit to #Sheffield in the company of the teenage philosopher and Joy Division fan K. Leyland.

The lake. The surrounding path. The grassy knoll (what exactly is a 'grassy knoll'?). The trees. The sky.

All in a line: 1. A sign on a brick construction reading Caution - Deep Water. 2. Alcohol drinkers on the other side of the pond. 3. The bandstand. 4. Weston Park Museum. To say nothing of the ground and the water and the trees and the sky.
25.02.26: Iβm gonna make like Max Ernst and return to this tree near the Crosspool end of Lydgate Lane #Sheffield to create some Surrealist masterpieces using coloured chalk and flipchart paper.

Moorhen Island. If you look closely at the right of the island, youβll see that it has been colonised by geese. I think the creature swimming towards the island is a moorhen, but the matter is inconclusive, and it might be a duck.

βEV16 made in Italy refers to a vintage European terracotta planter pot, which is a stylish addition to home decor. These pots feature a beautiful Italian pottery aesthetic with a natural terra cotta finish and polka dot pattern."

As far as I know, no one has commented on the similarity of Mark Mothersbaugh's visual presentation of 'Jocko Homo' and David Byrne's visual presentation of 'Once in a Lifetime', which I find very surprising.

An electric pink line on a black or very dark blue field.
It looks black when surrounded by dark blue and very dark blue when surrounded by black.
The electric pink - black colour scheme appeared to me in a dream.
