Well, I gave my LARP character (a faun) that name in 2007 or 2009! The full name is Tanija Letj Nuurd, the second part means something like "soft/small northern wind" in old northern German/Low German. But the name Tanija just came to me

Just a bit wrong! Usually I explain it like this:
TA-NI-DJAA (the Ta is a hard sound, the NI sounds like "The Knights That Say 'Ni!'", and the last part is like the beginning of the English version of Djinn (genie), which is a lot easier to say for Germans
