Apparently Gym memberships are that difficult to cancel, that there are products who sell you to cancel your gym membership instead of you!? byegym.com
Now - think twice on the NYE whether you really want to join the gym you've been considering :D

You will have to disclose all your social media activity from the past 5 years, as well as all emails used in the last 10 years :). I hope you havenβt joked about Trump or said anything that can hurt his ego.
it's super impressive even in the current form.
Yes, they are a bit cheaper than DigitalOcean and Linode - but that comes with a price. They have worse connectivity and their support is worse compared to others. On top of that, every time you need more resources you need to explicitly ask to be given. You can't just scale your servers up.
The worst part - they've given me 24 hours!!! to react. How does one react in 24h post working hours on a Friday. Holiday season when people are out and about most Fridays.
I was lucky this time, I may not be next. There might be no next time. I'm moving all my servers out of Hetzner.
I'm so disappointed by #Hetzner again and again.
Someone has filed a DMCA notice against one of my websites. Hetzner has sent me an email (that I'm lucking to have noticed), past work-ours and right before the weekend, demanding removal of content or connectivity to my server will be disabled...
Who else is enjoying the BTC fall graph?
Speculative stocks/assets are the first to go in the context of the upcoming big market correction.
The next fall that will bring even more joy would be the fall of TSLA (and Musk).

So many smart people have expressed this notion in a variety of ways. Everyone knows it. Yet, we keep chasing tomorrow.
OK, it seems some aggressive crawlers from China have found a way to jump around Cloudflare's captcha. Three ASN have been trashing one of my projects, www.libhunt.com, for about week. At the same time, all three ASNs were included in a rule requiring a captcha. They have a direct block now.
I got bitten by a bull ant, www.google.com/search?sca_e..., on my second day in Australia. It's painful. Yet, the main pain goes away in about 10-15min. The red area on my foot stayed on for about 10 days though.
The Leahy law is being killed off. "The US State Department has removed an online portal for reporting alleged human rights violations by foreign military units supplied with American weapons." www.bbc.com/news/article...
I wish they said explicitly that there's $5 billion in emergency reserves they're refusing to use instead they're happy to let people - mostly children, the disabled, and elderly, starve.
2) Their US location is not in the Bay Area. Respectively, if your websites/services are behind Cloudflare (which is based in the Bay Area), you have about 40ms added extra to each request.
Client => CF <- 20ms -> Your Origin <- 20ms -> Cloudflare => Client.
A lot of people have been choosing Hetzner VPS servers these days. Same here. I love how affordable they are. They also offer amongst the best performance. Yet, I have two issues with them.
1) You need to request in advance your resources. Let's say that's OKish with some planning.
2) ...
October heat records broken across Australia as Sydney braces for temperatures βway above the normβ
I did a "quick" domain name ownership reconciliation this weekend. Through the years, names have been flowing from GoDaddy => Namecheap => Porkbun.
Anyhow, my total annual cost is $872. And, I think I won't be able to action the ideas behind all of them.

No Kings won't gain us any ground, it's true. But No Kings helps us hold the line β a line that is very much at risk
There can be no mass movement if the masses succumb to fear and despair
Well, if you want to market it, you have to give it a name. That's part of the game.
I started reading "Poor Charlie's Almanack" yesterday. Such an inspiring book. I only regret that I hadn't read it earlier in my life. Anyhow, better late than never. #recommendations #books
