8~ years ago there was still a lot of "I wear a free sun run shirt from 1992" in gamedev on Twitter but seeing all the fun outfits, hairstyles, and makeup on the tag now make me very happy

Nothing wrong with comfort but also glad to see less shaming that "real" devs have a "uniform"

we're seeing an overall shift into conservative dress and styling. maybe an over-correction from the 2010's?

or maybe i'm overthinking the political aspect and it's also due to the shift from overconsumption fatigue -> minimal living -> "clean girl make up" that bled into hair

my completely uneducated guess is that for decades blonde was seen as the fun and glam hair (rich) colour in (mostly) western media, while brown was portrayed as down to earth/girl next door/plain/frumpy

with the rise of tradwife stuff, it's not longer a negative but a positive
