Well, I'm sure you wouldn't hear a single complaint after the fact.

Now, I'm not saying all programming jobs are easy, nor that there's no such thing as a good and hard working programmer. But the good ones value their own work, and are competent enough to understand how bad and problematic AI is.

And I agree, those real programmers are artists.

Comparatively, it's easy to be a programmer. The people hiring are often incompetent, and the work is often overvalued. Many are immediately hired after graduating, with zero actual experience or creative capacity.

I think because it's so easy, a lot of programmer don't value their own work.

Artists value their hard work. It's hard to live off art, and the market is extremely competitive. You often face impossible requests, and work for people who completely undervalue your work or the time spent building your skill set.

Its been a few years since I did any keyframe creature animation, so my most recent personal project has been exactly that :)

I referenced Daniel Fotheringham’s quadruped blog quite a bit while learning his workflow, it was a lot of fun :)

Out of curiosity, are you using a pure vertex shader approach or using some compute magic too?

Have you tried using hash tags? They actually work here, drive entire feeds, and aren't penalized like on the hell site!

I can't help but wonder what kind of life and/or brain damage leads to being such a creepy asshole.

I think we should be "pushing hard" to replace CEOs like these.

Same, and honestly, what a sad life if you've never even tried pork belly. Or cretons!

The funny thing though is most of these people had ham, ribs and bacon, and don't realize it's pork lol.

Are you using the wanderer's crest? I was, and felt kinda like this. Then I realized what was throwing me off on my timings. The boss is super lightweight, she takes A LOT of knock back. The fight became much easier after I realized that.

I don't mind waiting some more. This is gonna be awesome!

Curious how you will tackle quests, like the lake rumare fishing, that required underwater combat?

Will the fish AI make it easier to kite them out near the shore?

Or will we just have to "stealth archer" our fishing with water walking? xD

No idea if that would work for your use case, but could always try to wrap a few Area3D in a custom node to act as async queues you can round-robin the sounds into.

Wouldn't work for infinite simultaneous sounds, but might be better than constantly creating and destroying new Area3D.

28.11.2025 02:21 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Maybe you could jank it with a script to pass the results to a fake Area3D? Area3D can send wet and dry audio for reverb to different buses AFAIK.

Or if you meant the federated approach, not the federation itself, then I don't know!

I assume because Google and Amazon (twitch) own a major part of server infrastructures worldwide and keep driving up the cost of hosting. Any serious competitor would either have to bring their own server farms somehow, or directly fund their competitor and suffer from their price gouging.

I'm curious, what is the memory imprint? I assume it's pretty small since it's a repeating pattern?
