I genuinely love when I'm engaging with a piece of art I don't really like but think is nonetheless good. It always feels like an important opportunity to think more critically about art in general and about my own taste.

Read all 3 Garth Greenwell novels recently, and damn, I am fully Greenwell-pilled. Small Rain is a Mary Poppins bag, fitting so much life into a story so singularly focused. Mitko from WBTY belongs on a list of all-time great fiction characters. Cleanness might actually be a perfect book. Christ.

Genuine question: how do you actually make friends as an adult? Because the advice I always hear is like "go to place/event"....okay, AND THEN WHAT? Just talk to a random person? About WHAT???

My DM asked for a character backstory and got a 4 page single spaced document with photos and hyperlinks. I am nothing if not committed to D&D.

The most D&D sentence I can say is this: moments after the death of a horny stinky witch named Smelda, I got to be my real-life husband's best man when his halfling PC married a vampire hunter in a lich's living room. I don't know what people think this game is, but it's at least 50% shit like this.
