New Plugins: "Etch" Google Calender, Weather, ... into your local notes Hi all, I wanted to share two new plugins that “etch” information from third-party service directly into your notes for permanent, local, offline access. https://github.com/parente/obsidian-etch-go...

I ~scratched some itches~ built some new Obsidian plugins over the holidays.

For one, there's likely a years-of-prior-experience prereq separating slop from quality here. For another, we may be layering on more complexity that we've yet to identify and regret. (typo fix)

Not to say AI is a good and proper solve for complexity in software development ... 🧵

Smoky Confit Tomato and Lemon Pasta

🍽️ Loved making and eating this one. The ancho chiles and the lemon zest peels gave it a unique flavor. I went with far less oil (1/2 to 2/3 cup). The sauce was perfectly glossy.

Psychological safety is NOT about lack of disagreement.

Psychological safety REQUIRES:

* disagreement and debate
* setting standards for behavior and performance, and enforcing them
* telling people things they don't want to hear
* courage, from the bottom up
* humility, from the top down

Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World by Adam M. Grant The #1 New York Times bestseller that examines how people can champion new ideas in their careers...

Laid up for the weekend. Upside: making progress on a copy of "Originals" by Adam Grant that someone gifted to me. 📚

Nice to see research backing the sometimes counterintuitive lessons I've learned in my career.

Same. Took a chance on it and it paid off. Definitely more of a weekend vs weeknight recipe because of the cooking time. Prep was relatively simple.
