Living, complicated, loving, messy, cynical yet hopeful.
Sometimes you need music for work, but other times you just leave Qud up and listen to the ambiance of the salt marshes.

One of these days I'll actually prepare for glotrot...
The Girl riding down the middle of a road at night on a skateboard while wearing a white and black horizontally stripped shirt, black pants and a chador billowing behind her. The road is intermittently lit by weak streetlamps barely lighting the road and giving some shape the a few buildings in the distance.

Looking for as obscure horror film recommendations. Any era, subgenre, country of origin, etc. Anything y'all find interesting that others have never heard of.

This reminds me I have to pick up another copy of Hello Sunshine after I gifted the last one. Thank you again for the representation. Getting teary-eyed just thinking about it.
Exploring adjacent personality traits and perspectives is so much easier for me than introspective interrogation and aids in empathy but makes describing the self a laborious task. Throw in a dash of despersonalization and relating things to others gets wonky, fast.
Being able to describe oneself is real weird as someone with SZA, which may be in part why writing someone who is not terribly removed from your experience feels so much easier (not that BD and SZA are the same).
I hate this video. I hate the discourse on Twitter about this video. I hate Kash Patel. I hate Donald Trump. And I never liked Men's Hockey.
The normalized capitulation and misogyny are repugnant.

Stay dry or you die. Wet cold is truly bone chilling and awful, and I don't mind when it's dry and -40.
my pettiest block is people who dismiss wet cold 🤝
Perhaps I should finally sketch out the image of the jam couch that's burned into my mind. Really can't describe the searing terror this damned floating couch brings with it each time I'm sucked into its dream realm. It's just a goopy couch, but it feels like it's actually scaring me to death.
Follow up; yep, it came to me amid the endless cyclopean ruins of a lost city. Floating silently, slowly and with purpose through the streets. A deep purple jam slowly oozing forth from every seam creating its only telltale sound... plop... plop... plop... why does it continue this chase?
Thanks, the jam couch will be haunting my dreams soon as the thoughts have been summoned forth yet again. Inexorably it stalks its victim.
Eleanor in The Haunting (1963), standing up in a night gown after having just gotten up from bed. She stares at her hand in horror, exclaiming "who's hand was I holding?".
Who's hand was I holding?
SOUND ON FOR WOLF HOWLS- old footage but a favourite. This was when Sansa was still with us and she often led the charge in a pack howl. Sadly she died of cancer at the end of last year and the place feels quieter without her now.

I found it to be a good portrayal of paranoid behaviour while not being dehumanizing. A rare example of such a story.
Close up shot of Wyatt's face as he stands in the basement, cellphone to ear, and listens intensely to information being given to him about the evils to come.
Christian and Mara in a dimly red lit sound booth. Mara is reading Christian's palm while they both flirt.
Christian sitting in the dark, a wild smile on his face as someone stands behind him and grabs his forehead. The unknown person appears to be digging into Christian's forehead to try and rip into it as his smile widens.
Wyatt in the basement, again, dressed in a tyvek painter's suit with a look of confusion, looking down at someone in a chair... trying to decide what to do.
They Look Like People keeps creeping back in my head. Juxtaposing humor and everyday life between old friends with beautifully intense scenes of paranoia was done wonderfully to make you feel for the characters and also get weirded out.
Just shut up and dribble
Finally can see this!!! Thank you! Just seeing stills from this put it near the top of the watchlist for years, and they didn't even do it justice.
CNN in Minneapolis: We are seeing thousands and thousands of people, we've been standing on the corner here for the past ten minutes. This this crowd has not let up. It's just continuous.
Was already on my wishlist... Can't pass on this now!
the cover of it's bitter, baby, and it's very sweet
page 1 of the comic; it says halloween, 1994, and there's halloween candy and toys, featuring a witch pez dispenser, a skull keychain, and a yellow finger monster
page 3 of it's bitter; corey and chelsea are dressed up for halloween and excited
I put my new comic up on itch! $8 for a 34-page horror story!
On Halloween night in 1994, two teenagers and their bully walk into a stranger's basement, and discover an uncomfortable secret about a girl they know.
