Doesn't mean you can't be annoyed about it though. Changing a commonly accepted definition, even if it's allowed, still isn't right.
I've always gone by 90-93 = A-, 94-96 = A, 97+ = A+. Thought that was pretty standard. So yeah, I'd be annoyed too.

Makar's was painful... So was the original Triforce chart hunt and the wind direction mechanic for sailing. Wind Waker HD fixes a lot though and is definitely worth checking out if you can.
In Wind Waker? They weren't all great by any means but I really liked Medli's puzzles (even if the carry/escort stuff did get old at times).
Mine is Wind Waker but Majora's Mask is a close second!
