We're in Costa Rica, driving from Rincon de la Vieja and we found this AMAZING little coffee house tucked away in the mountains outside of Monteverde.

Today I ordered a product from an online company and someone from their customer service dept called me literally just to chat.

Five years ago I would have been annoyed. But now it's nice to know a place actually has a real customer service department.

I wish glassware could talk. I recently inherited some lowballs from my grandpa and recognized them as the ones he would take out to drink with company over a special occasion or heavy conversation. The man LOVED brandy, lived to 100, and I can only imagine the conversations those glasses overheard.

Went shopping at a local thrift store because I've gotten too fat for my clothes. I was not prepared for just how many pants sizes I've gone up :(

That was...depressing.

I made a pallet wood frame for a piece of canvas bag from a local tea shop. The bag had long since given up being a bag but had a nice graphic on it. Gonna get a hanger bracket for it and hang it on the wall.

Practicing a nice lounge-y jazz arrangement of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and all I can think of is the scene from The Office where Angela goes "Jazz is stupid. Just play the right notes!"

I often feel like I get completely eclipsed by my partner who has vastly more numerous and fascinating hobbies. And I'm not exactly an extrovert either.

My favorite thing is when people come over and see a grand piano in the living room, ask whose it is, and realize they know very little about me.

It is!! We were over here helping Casey's parents move some large items and this was the halfway point so we stayed over.

Desolate, cold, grey up here. Good day to stay inside and play piano.
