one thing the tangled discord has me realising is how much the dominance of github has produced devs that dont actually understand the decentralisation of git

people say this "i wish computers were simpler!" stuff and then just *don't do anything about it*. they will complain that alternatives aren't at feature parity with the software they want to quit, know is evil, and was not a vital part of anyone's life just a few years ago

im not a linux evangelist but people post on here weekly like "i miss when computers were more like the early 2000s and had basic software and i didn't have to pay attention to all the flashiness and complexity and updates" girl what you desire is running stable debian on a spare thinkpad

An asteroids-like game with two players in splitscreen. Red is whizzing by blue at ~0.95 the speed of light. In red's POV, blue and a nearby planet are extremely distorted due to the Terrel-Penrose effect. In blue's POV, red is extremely distorted, but the planet and asteroids remain relatively unaffected; as blue is only traveling ~0.1 c relative to them.

In red's POV, red is close to blue and has fired a laser at blue. However, because of the lightspeed delay, in blue's POV, red is still far away and hasn't yet fired its laser.
