Slay the Spire 2's concurrent Steam players just hit 179,456, the highest ever for any roguelike.
When StS1 first launched back in 2017, it had 193 concurrent players.
That's a 92,982% increase, meaning StS3 is on track to hit 166,861,777 concurrent players by 2035. 💪

to be clear, I don’t think Browt is gonna evolve into a superhero. I started drawing a blanket, but since he’s an energetic chick, it also made sense for him to wear it as a cape and play pretend.
I tried my hand at redoing Browt and Pombon. Not great but the real designs feel just a little lacking
I like all three starters, but I also feel like they’re too simple. Mainly this one and the bird. It’s like looking at old beta designs for some Pokemon before they got one final iconic trait added

Does this apply even if we were “free tier” supporters that just upgraded to paid for the first time?
Since the Steam Deck screen would start black, would it make more sense to fade from black instead of white? Or even have the mouse enter by sliding up the black screen. That’d look slick on the OLED model.
The only thing that would replace my Steam Deck LCD is a Steam Deck “2.0” with OLED, better battery, and mildly better performance on larger games. Until then, I’m using the OG every day, I love it so much.

Depending on the mechanical complexity, some games in UFO 50 might be perfect for this. Very easy to turn brain off and play, unless you need something less with less active engagement

jumping into a giant pit in Tears of the Kingdom, day one. sure it was theorized, but I somehow avoided those theories. I was amazed at the scale of that game, and how Nintendo somehow kept that out of marketing.

My tactic for a while was to do just 30 minutes max of my side hustle, every day. Doing a little a day kept a “streak,” and I didn’t want to break that streak, which pushed me to keep it.
I’d work on it directly after I clocked out, to make sure I had some momentum.
I totally understand people wanting to wait until beastieball is “1.0” to play it. I also don’t usually play early access titles.
My main worry at this point is that the game is already so complete and universally beloved, by the time we call it 1.0 i might accidentally make it worse somehow…
