I love that!!
I love that!!
I have a darning loom by Katrinkles that makes mending easy: katrinkles.com/products/dar...
It depends a bit on the yarn and a few design choices. I like a yarn that is at least 15% nylon to add strength. If your socks tend to wear out at the heel, a textured heel flap helps a lot vs. store-bought heels. Holes are inevitable, but if you learn how to mend them, they will last a long time!
Relatable.
Beautiful! Be careful, though: your hedgehog sock blockers are stealing the show from your stitches! lol!
That's such a cool design element! Great work!
A close-up of a mint green knitting project with a radiating pattern of YOs in progress on circular needles. It's a "pi-shaped" baby blanket. A small cat stitch marker is near the top edge. A matching ball of mint yarn sits nearby. In the background is a cream-colored project bag printed with illustrated cat faces wearing glasses.
I don't always drop $50 on a project bag, but when I do, it has nerdy cats on it! π±π§Ά
With or without cats, I'm always happy to support a small business, and I didn't have a knitting bag big enough to hold my Radiating Star Blanket... so: purchase justified! βοΈ

Lol! I don't know what I've gotten myself into!
A close-up of the lower edge of a light pink strip of double-knitting on circular needles which will be the hem of a shell. The ball of linen yarn sits beside it an a hand holding a pink row counter shows it is on row 26. (My thumb nail has little hearts on it from valentines day, which is adorable and matches the pink yarn, but flags how long it took me to post this....)
I'm knitting a summer top, and I hope this double-knit hem looks good because it's taking **forever** to knit. I'm 26 rows in and have only produced about 1.5'' of fabric. π ...based on my mani, you can deduce that I took this pic last month. Unfortunately, I still haven't made much more of a dent.π§Ά
Stunning!!! π
This is soooo cool! And I can't believe they wouldn't let you knit on the plane! I'd die!! π
Nothing pairs better with lace than a good sturdy lifeline!!
Close-up of a bright red hand-knit lace fabric with a scalloped edge. The yarn has a subtle sparkle, and the stitch pattern features eyelets and flowing leaf-like motifs. Pattern is called Irish Moss Shawl. Yarn is the now discontinued Knit Picks Stroll Glimmer.
This week's #ShowMeYourKnits prompt really resonates. I live by a set of 5 core values and "Create Beautiful Things" is one of them!
This lace shawl, designed by @verybusymonkey.bsky.social, is one of my favorite beautiful creations. π§Άβ€οΈ
Thanks!!
Thank you! I love them too!
lol!!
Ooh! Yay!
A pair of wood sock blockers with a honeycomb and bee motif. The start of a sock is on one of the blockers itβs made out of a gray variegated yarn and has diagonal striped stitched pattern. The ball of the yarn is nearby and the whole scene is on a white washed wooden surface .
I'm obsessed with my new bee sock blockers by mlynjedrow.etsy.com ππ§¦
I'm not big on bugs, but the bee is a fun nod to my home state of Utah. It's a symbol of industriousness and cooperation that has always resonated with me.

Today #ShowMeYourKnits is a reminder that we need to make beautiful things, protect joy, support each other, even (especially) when things are bad. #knitting is resistance, care, sanity & seeing it on display weekly lifts my heart.
Show me your LACE this week, you amazing, talented people β€οΈ π§Ά
Thankfully, it is top-down! So that's what I'll be doing.
A partially knitted peach and cream variegated sock on dark wood DPNs. leg is complete and a blue lifeline thread runs through the stitches above the heel. The heel is now complete - it is a flap and gusset construction - and no pooling in the variegated yarn pattern. It's all on a bright white background. If you're curious how the sock looks so flat and smooth, it's because it's on a clear sock blocker that blends into the white background. :)
I tossed a lifeline above the heel flap on this sock, just in case I experienced pooling, but we're in the clear! Yay! Have I mentioned lately how much I love this yarn? π§Ά π

Yes, this is post blocking.
Ooh! Very cool!!
A close-up of the lower edge of a light beige-gray "greige" knitted garment. It's a split hem with an icord edge that rolls slightly. The focus of the photo are the messy stitches around the shaping of the split hem. It's all on a bright white background.
I added a split hem to the sweater I just finished, and the result is a bit meh. I could live with the shape, but I can't live with this messy stitchwork of mine. Gonna frog and re-knit a regular hem instead. Sucks, but I know I'll be happier in the end. πΈπ§Ά

lol!!
Ooh! Even better! Anna makes such beautiful blockers - I have several pairs.
Thank you! These are some of my favorite blockers! In case you want a setβ¦ www.etsy.com/listing/1473... π
