Of course, this comes after having BLOWN OFF Ukraine's pitch to give the US the drone techniques the US is no badly needing.
So: Ukraine had the most important cards, but Trump didn't want them. European allies were there to bail US out in emergency.
Next up, Danes?

Man ... I think we're doing wrong. This is no way to run a country.
I donβt think unconditional surrender is imminent.
Fewer than 200 days until early voting in midterm elections in some states
Home stretch
Ossoff: "Trump has a problem with every side of his coalition ... they see this guy and his family raking in billions from all over the world while the cost of living crisis in America gets worse. It's infuriating people, and not just Democrats."
so, he's still on the job
has he given a press conference?
has anyone seen him?
are thinking about the ways our laws need to be changed or tightened so that the lawlessness we've experienced the last 26 years (& esp the last 10) will be addressed.
One of the examples Weissmann gave involved "lying". He talked about Enron & how people there, who lied, were prosecuted. He commented that politicians can lie (e.g. about losing or winning elections), it's not factual, and they can get away w/ it. And how that should be changed.
I like that ppl
THIS IS A GOOD REPORTER
Trump can't handle it
There is nothing wrong with taking a closer look at someone who seems too good to be true. Vetting, after Sinema, Fetterman (even Trump) is wise.
You can fall in love with them later on.
These are the sorts of random magical things that happen that make life more interesting & rich. Lucky you!
I know.
A wolf in wolf's clothing is more acceptable to me than a wolf appearing as a "character" that seems created in a Heritage Foundation meeting.
@sailormichael.bsky.social I heard a podcast conversation between @sarahlongwell25.bsky.social and Andrew Weissmann and the latter's new book. You might find it interesting? He has ideas on how to fix our country after Trump, so it doesn't happen again.

I am worried about Trojan Horse candidates & the damage they can do
I love this. Is there a photo of your group? It's not unhinged at all. maybe a little eccentric, but I think it's cool too.
I hope I never do.
But I have to say I might not go w/ someone b/c of them.
Is that bad?
I think Katz did a great job on Mamdani's campaign.
It's my opinion that ppl who have this level of skill should try to be very responsible about who they agree to work with/for. Esp in 2026. We cannot afford to elevate another monster.
I have a gut feeling there is an Erik Prince connection.
We keep seeing ppl elect candidates based on that & I would think that DT would break a lot of ppl of that & get back to substance.
A candidate should be able to tell ppl what they are for & how they will make their constituents' lives better. A lot can't.
They are young & have the arrogance of James Carville.
A little bit of Jared too.
Katz did not vet Platner at all before agreeing to work w/ him & that concerns me. It seems naive. And not caring about who he is potentially helping elect.
I love Bennie Thompson. So glad you helped him.
I agree w/ you on the ageism.
Many of the ppl flogging those ideas are mediocre.
There are young ppl like Maxwell Frost who are incredible.
There are older ppl like Elizabeth Warren whose ideas are modern & prescient. Both are needed.
Bennie Thompson represents my area and I specifically went up there to whip up some of my classmates and the mayor back home to ensure he won. He might not have needed it but I did it anyway. I am so fucking tired of this ageism crap when that man has done some good work here. He ain't perfect but
more before jumping onboard his team.
I understand that political ops like him are there to make money (& chalk up wins) but I wish they would feel a little responsibility to use their talents w/ candidates who are less murky. I don't know if it's fair for me to want this ?
I heard a recent interview w/ him (I think it was w/ Tim Miller).
It was interesting.
James Carville & Clinton's campaign staff were similar to this in their certainty.
Morris has talent at a time when D's are grasping to effectively message. So, many glom onto him.
I wish he had vetted Platner
Perhaps.
But they ran a great campaign.
You are spot on with volunteers. I don't know if it is possible for a candidate to win without them.
reamed by anti-Platner people (even though I am not pro Platner in any way). It is just as obnoxious as what you describe about the Mamdani stans. A lot of it reminds me of the Hillarystan-Berniebro wars in 2016. Both were equally rude & it did nothing to defeat DT. We need less of this.
being as impeccable & clean as they can w/ their stories/ explanations of their history, decisions, associations, etc... we have been through enough w/ Republican lies & Trump lies. We deserve better.
This has nothing to do w/ Mamdani. If you don't like him, that's fine.
FWIW, I have also been
And GP's unapologetic "sloppiness" w some of his communication. He's an adult & running for a serious office in a time when we have an administration that is sloppy, deceitful & manipulative & every single serious Democrat running for office should be mindful of this & show respect for voters by
"underdog" whether or not you like him. Katz had immense success w/ Mamdani's campaign. That's like saying Obama (or any other political figure) shd be responsible for the other clients of his campaign person.
I have a lot of questions about Platner & am uncomfortable w his Erik Prince association.
