Great to see this work out from our neighbours @mrc-lms.bsky.social driven by Noura Maziak @vaquerizasjm.bsky.social!
With Pico-C they reveal a modular regulatory logic driving genome establishment - congrats to all authors!

Sad to read this. Gail was indeed a giant of developmental biology. I have fond memories of Gail at an Australian devbio workshop (many many years ago), where we travelled together to see Kangaroo Island after the meeting. She was quite an inspiration to me.
We've been inundated (!) with abstracts for BSDB 2026!! Thanks to all who've submitted and to those that have registered! The rooms are going fast!

My team @ebi.embl.org is open to hosting #ARISE2 fellows!
We‘re especially interested in projects that improve access to single-cell & spatial transcriptomics data (e.g. browsers, standards), or enhance AI-readiness.
Happy to chat if you are applying!

Thanks very much!
I am happy and extremely proud to be able to contribute to this work with Irène Amblard and @vmetzis.bsky.social, where by changing one motif we completely rewired the function of a regulatory element!🔬🧬 Now out in Developmental Cell!
