Very much written at 2am and it shows, will probably come back to re-edit these later. Anyways, here's part one because I just want to write things and worry about the consequences of my actions later!
The finished illustration of the sketch from the previous post. It features Mirsisi and his tiny drake, Pelt, as comets shoot through the sky behind him. Mirsisi stands, holding a recorder in his right hand, and starts to put it down as he looks at the viewer. He's a dark skinned man with long dark hair pulled up into a messy bun behind his head. He has heterochromia with one golden eye and one silver eye. He's wearing a white jacket with green accents and a golden emblem of a bow and arrows over his left chest. Pelt, the small drake perched on Mirsisi's shoulders, has a very long tail and is light blue, almost white. He has various crystalline shards jutting out of its head and on its forearms.

Four comic page thumbs, mostly in two panels. There are rough sketches over the pages, with only the bottom panel of the first page being outlined with dialogue.
I've come to realize that I don't know how to panel properly so I'm using mostly two panel pages to try and understand how action flows panel to panel. Hope to have more time to work on this before the end of the year 🫣

It has come to my attention via one of the other players that I'm the only one in our dnd campaign that has not suffered terribly at the hand of The Plot. Now I am concerned considering last session our monk discovered she was supposed to be assassinated 💀
On one hand, I was behind on prepping some maps so this does give me breathing room.
On the other hand I expected them to get hung up on side show games and vendors at a festival. Not this LMAO.
I saw it coming a mile away but man did they latch onto one of the shopkeeps in a campaign I'm hosting. They convinced him to come to dinner with them and they're planning to invite another NPC to see if they're dating because they know each other 😂
Been a bit quiet here because I haven't had much time to do OC stuff but once I'm done with some zine obligations, I wanna talk about Ars Valuna. It's a floating continent that floats above a water centric planet that I'm hoping to write some sort of IF for, but we'll see 😩

Just handed my dm a "punish my ranger for magic casting because he doesn't know he's an aasimar that has magic" table.
Game wise, he has more spells because I chose druidic warrior. Lore wise, I thought the pain was (good) character building.

#DnD advice: Roleplaying lets you step out of your own life and pretend to be someone you're not, like a financially stable extrovert who gets 8 hours of sleep every night and can afford to travel.
I think our party consecutively rolled an average of five 3s or lower every hour. I am sobbing.
Maybe one day when I have more time, I'll double back to this. For now, it can just be a mysterious and funny thought I'm thinking aloud.
My brain is like "make an isekai transmigration story but have it set so that the person that transmigrates was at the end of their x year long intense campaign. But then the player transmigrates into the backstory that they gave like five second thoughts to before the campaign starts." 😂😭
6) Current isekai adjacent count is: 24 OCs. Which is less than I thought lol.
5) In high school I tried to write a visual novel. It was about a ghost that possessed the (now amnesiac) MC and was drawn back to the house where she died. She had the most frills on her dress and I hated drawing the Victorian clothing so I never got past doing the first four chapters 😂
4) About half the OCs have perished or met a fate close enough to death they might as well have perished. Truly I Am A Creator Of The Early 2010s.
3) Most of the locations were named something plot related in Latin because I thought it sounded fun but now I cringe. But alas, it has been so long that even if I changed the names, in my heart and soul it will always be Latin. Only ones that weren't Latin were the dragon cities named after teas 🥲
2) The earliest case of an isekai story I made was grade 9. The MCs were actually from the fantasy world but two of the supporting cast were from the mundane everyday, if you call breaking out of an experimentation lab and fleeing through an unstable dimension portal mundane.
1) One of my earliest OC stories was based on a game of imagination from when I was but a wee child that LARPed but didn't realize it was a term at the age of 8 lmao. It involved spies, dragons, and time travel. I kept all of that and expanded it into sci-fi horrors in high school.

After finding out that location based ambient sounds are A Thing on Foundry I proceeded to spend 2 hours being very extra on a single scene. Needless to say, I need to lock in and not get distracted after this because I still have (at least) 5 more major scenes to do 😂
Definitely loremaster with a strange blend of worldbuilder and factory. If we're including ttrpg OCs, I think I've well surpassed the 300 mark at the beginning of the year 🫣
