new release is now available! Check out the changelogs in our blog:

We are also sorry for the delay, since we have waited that NVIDIA releases the 590 driver, but it did not happen. This was important to properly split old hardware out.
The fixed ISO is now available on our Website and via Sourceforge.
Torrents will follow soon!
Hey all,
We are going to push today a emergency fixup release out. There has been an issue on the LTS Kernel identified being compiled with AVX2, which results that CPUs not supporting AVX2 can not boot.
The release should be available latest at 17:00 CET.

If you don't use adobe and don't play a few kernel level anti cheat games you should rlly consider Linux today.
This is @cachyos.org with @kde.org Plasma Desktop :)

Hi,
I do not know, which bootloader you are using in case you are using grub you want to install grub-hook and then reinstall the kernel.
If you use systemd-boot then you need to create the entry manually in /boot/loader/entries and there copy the "linux.conf" and change inside the files to cachyos
Wow, this is unexpected - according @BoilingSteam analysis from ProtonDB CachyOS is the "fastest growing distribution"!
We are really glad to see that and looking forward to the future!

I'm quite shocked to see a user-space Rust scheduler (rustland) competing and, in some cases, even outperforming other BPF or in-kernel schedulers.
Big shoutout to the @cachyos.org community for constantly running all these benchmarks! It's great motivation to keep improving!
@greeklug will provide a presentation on Saturday about CachyOS! They will do an introduction into CachyOS and the benefits it provides.
At the end of the presentation, we will be also available for a Q&A Session

kde plasma desktop running on cachyos, there is a main panel at the top and a dock on the right side featuring my regularly used apps and currently open ones. on the top panel, there is a paw print as my application launcher, a universal menu bar, system tray, blurred out weather widget and a clock. there are two windows open, a terminal and a photo viewer. the terminal reads out my computer specifications and the image viewer has a meme in it about making toast.
i need to clean up a lot of packages but i'm incredibly happy with how i have things set up! this has been a very nice change of pace from having things Forcefully Added to my computer like copilot or whatever. @cachyos.org has been fantastic and is the best arch-based distro i've tried. very good.
OCCT is now preinstalled in the latest version of CachyOS ISO!
This integration makes it easier than ever for users to stress-test and monitor their systems from the very first boot.
We're proud to be included in one of the fastest-growing Arch-based distributions!
Hey! Please join the discord then you can talk with the maintainers of it. They are actively there in the #sched-ext channel.
Here you can find a small information for each scheduler:

We just pushed our new fixup Release out but also adding a new Feature! The Live ISO bundles now
@OCCT_Ocbase
for stress testing!
OCCT provides a really nice addition to linux and thank you for the collabration each other.

Why is @cachyos.org so damn good? Itโs like they hand squeeze all my parts for every last bit of performance and itโs incredible
We just released our March Release. Check out the changelogs here:
cachyos.org/blog/2503-ma...
The biggest change is introducing support for the Limine Bootloader, including integrated snapshot support, when BTRFS is used.
This seems like a nice setup! Have fun and enjoy :)
We just dropped a new release!
Blackwell is now supported, the kernel is now optimized with Propeller and several fixes and improvements.
Check the full changelog here:
cachyos.org/blog/2502-fe...
Working on a new ISO, with some nice new features, but also breaking changes.
NVIDIA 5080 and 5090 support will also bring it with. Drivers are working fine.
Blackwell only does support the open module, and therefore we maybe need to cut support for 10xx series. But we will try to figure something.
KDE seems to enable it as default sadly again.
I considered to put this again back disabled, since its super duper annoying :D
Yes, the CachyOS Community is really awesome and quite "unique" in the linux space.
We are very happy that users are so friendly, helping each other and keep a nice language each other. makes me happy every day โค๏ธ
I've really been enjoying @cachyos.org
If you don't go the immutable route, this is a very promising forward-thinking distro, and an example of what Linux should be in 2025.
For example, the default kernel is compiled with clang and can take advantage of modern security improvements.
After LLVM 19 got now available, we have integrated the Propeller Optimization into the 6.13 kernel. The kernel is preprofiled and optimized - the only thing you need to do is installing it:
sudo pacman -Syu linux-cachyos-rc linux-cachyos-rc-headers
Will be available in 1 hour.
