Advent of Code really brought back those feelings when you're tinkering with code just for fun.
Really fun experience.
3-figure and low 4-figure projects is where the money is.
You finish within 2-3 days and you get the money right away.
So, if you get a 5+ figure project, define milestones to get the money faster and for the client to get a feel of progress.

View them more as guides after you get the basics.
The best education is to build something.
Even if it's just a js slider library. You'll learn a ton.
I loved it when I did it. I think my achievement was about 20 viewers.
It requires a bit of getting used to speaking to the "void" until people start responding in chat :D

How did you earn your first money on the internet?
I created a Dropbox WordPress Plugin and sold it through CodeCanyon.
Tbh, back then, I didn't even know what I was doing. I knew how to upload a file, but didn't know how to work with APIs.
So used a file from a tutorial to upload to Dropbox :D

The best advice.
Be it framework, library or anything. If you're stuck, basics (vanilla) will get you unstuck (in most cases) :P
PHP is not dead.
WordPress is not bad.
Laravel is great.
So is JavaScript.
Use what you know best & what will help your client the most (or your product).
Nope, but having a large cottage near a ski resort would be so cool to be there for a longer period with friends and family :D
