Jackson's latest series starts with The Bone Raiders & follows a bone-wearing clan who decide riding giant fire-breathing lizards (totally not dragons) is the only way to stop every raider in the land being wiped out.
Book 21 of the year: Mystery of the Midnight Cartographers by Barry Nugent (@Unseen_Shadows). Fantastic sequel to the brilliant Trail of the Cursed Cobras, and a cracking adventure for kids of all ages. Full review up on the blog soon!

I love a Brown as much as the next guy, but I'm not sure I could call them the best of the year
But it's obvious how much better the Famous White Men's books are. Just look how much bigger they are.
I mean, I love the Thursday Murder Club books. They're great. But are they really the best book in the genre? No.
I see the British Book Award lists are out. Osman and Brown in the crime & thriller list? Really? They're honestly the best crime and thriller books? Best-selling, maybe. But best? www.thebookseller.com/british-book...

I have in the past requested too freely. Now I’m much better at reading on time. I just need to get the reviews done!
My ratio is terrible. I keep picking up the next book instead of reviewing, the blog has been a bit quiet. I’m working on it though!
