The Tornado Watch for Berkeley and Dorchester counties has been cancelled.
The risk for severe weather is all but over β the tornado watch is on track to expire at 1pm if it doesnβt get canceled sooner β but gusty winds and falling temperatures with some showers will characterize the rest of the afternoon.
Gusty winds 50-55 MPH will be possible from St. Stephen to parts of Moncks Corner as the line of storms gets through. Rain will miss Charleston proper to the north, but more light rain will move in this afternoon.

The tornado watch has expanded into Berkeley County as a strong line segment approaches I-95. The greatest risk for severe will be roughly Moncks Corner northward, including Lake Moultrie, Cross, and St. Stephen.

A broken line of showers and storms continues to push eastward, with a Tornado Watch in effect for Dorchester County and points west. Some evidence of rotation continues within the line, but the expectation remains it will weaken before CHS.
A well-organized line of thunderstorms will push eastward toward the area around mid-morning to lunchtime. There is a risk for some severe weather, including a brief tornado, generally along and west of I-95. Tornado Watch is up for Dorchester until 1PM. Berkeley and Charleston not in the watch.

After record warmth on Wednesday, a cold front moves through Thursday to restore order to temperatures that are more in tune with June than March. Watch for gusty showers and storms Thursday, followed by sunshine Friday and Saturday before another front on Sunday.

Another very warm day is on tap for Wednesday, which may yield a new high temperature record for March 11. A front comes through Thursday, and we cool back more toward mid-March normals for Friday.
